At Smith Collins Academy, we believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. Our enrichment programs offer students the chance to explore their interests, develop key skills, and engage with their communities, preparing them for college, careers, and life. Encouraging students to find their voice, TED Ed Student Talks provide a platform for students to explore ideas they’re passionate about and share them with an audience. Through this program, students learn valuable skills in public speaking, research, and presentation, building confidence and clarity in communication.
Model United Nations
(Model UN)

Model UN brings global issues to life as students step into the roles of international diplomats and engage in mock debates on pressing global topics. Participants develop negotiation, critical thinking, and collaboration skills while gaining a deeper understanding of global affairs and diplomacy.
Communications
Club

In the Communications Club, students dive into various forms of media and communication, from journalism to digital content creation. This program hones students’ abilities to express ideas clearly and effectively, equipping them with versatile skills for college essays, interviews, and professional life.
Writers Guild

A creative haven for aspiring authors and poets, the Writers Guild invites students to explore both creative and academic writing. This program includes workshops in poetry, spoken word and other types of performance poetry offering a vibrant space for self-expression across genres. Members participate in writing workshops, receive peer feedback, and explore diverse writing forms, improving their skills and broadening their perspectives.
Global Young Entrepreneurs

For students with an interest in business, Global Young Entrepreneurs provides hands-on experience with business planning, financial literacy, and creative problem-solving. Participants work on real projects, fostering innovation, teamwork, and a proactive approach to opportunities.
